The excitement is building. Plans have come together and now it's time to rock-n-roll!!

Can we get a hands-up on who is going to the BBQ on Friday night? Please respond to this post so we can get an idea of how many people to expect.

Join the fun. The party starts at 4PM at Kelly (Griffin) Sandquist's place. At 18808 209th Avenue in Park Rapids. It's a BYOB potluck. The meat has been generously provided. If you can bring a dish to share, great!

Kelly has also offered camping space to anyone interested. She has the speakers up in the greenhouse and is looking forward to a good time! Rain or shine, let the good times roll!!

Where: Headwaters Country Club, County Rd. 1, Park Rapids
(Contact Scott Disney (disneyswoodworks@charter.net) if you would like to play a round. The cost is $45.40 for half cart & 18 holes. Scott has 2 extra sets of clubs available if anyone is interested.)

The "Pre" Reunion Party/BBQ - Friday, July 25

Okay, all of you anxious reunion goers! Thanks to the gracious offer from Kelly Sandquist to host a casual get-together at her home. A PARTY has come to life!

Saturday, July 26th, 2014 is going to be a great night!

A gorgeous setting at the Blueberry Pines Golf Course & Ice Creek Restaurant...a beautiful banquet facility downstairs in their private dining area. The bar is open with a social hour beginning at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. Entertainment provided by AC Entertainment DJ's out of Wadena. Enjoy the evening as you watch the sunset over the golf course.

Catch up with the classmates you haven't seen for years. Find out what's been happening with everyone over the last 30 years. 30 years!?!? Does it feel like 30 years have really passed by?

The Saturday night reunion committee has laid the ground work for the big night. Deposits have been paid to reserve the venue at Blueberry Pines Golf Club & Ice Creek Restaurant. The menu has been chosen (see below). Commitments have been made to open the bar and quotes have been received from a few DJ's in the area to play some tunes from the 80's with a mix of the current hits to liven up the evening!

It is important to make your reservations early! Attendance will determine whether we will be able to have entertainment or not. Who is ready to reminisce, step back in time, hang out with old friends and dance the night away? Or just sit back, visit and enjoy the vibe of the night!

1984 Class Reunion - Let the planning begin!

Welcome!

A small group of people have come together to plan the Class of 1984 reunion. 30 years already, can you believe it? This blog is intended to keep everyone updated on what's going on. What the plans are, etc.

Paul Hannemann was the first to attempt to get some feedback on whether the class wanted to have a reunion. He started a Class of 1984 group on Facebook. If you haven't joined, please do https://www.facebook.com/groups/1439325909631805/. After doing a poll and having some discussion, it was decided we would have a reunion the weekend of July 25-27, 2014. Let the planning begin! To date this is what has been decided;

Friday, July 25 - Kelly (Griffin) Sandquist offered her home for an outdoor get together. Keg party, potential BBQ. Some ideas have been tossed around. Stay in touch for more details as they come along.

Saturday, July 26 - Official Reunion
Location: Blueberry Pines Golf Course & Ice Creek Restaurant, Menahga
Social starting at 5pm and dinner at 6:30pm
Cost: $40 per person
*Shooting for some entertainment, however this is completely dependent on attendance.

Sunday, July 27 - Nothing scheduled at this time. If you have ideas or would like to do something special. Don't be shy, leave a comment!

Andy Kueber was kind enough to do some coordinating with the administrator of the Park Rapids Area High School All Class Alumni website and put an ad together for the Park Rapids Enterprise. Check the alumni site for more information or for other events that weekend. http://www.prhsreunion.com/. We want as many classmates as possible to attend. We aren't getting any younger, right?!?!?
